Ned came from a hoarding situation near Mina (with other feral dogs) and has been at Safe Haven for a couple of years. In mid-August, he said he was now ready to learn how to walk on a leash and learn how to be a house dog and he hasn't looked back. Ned is about four years old and is still shy (but will take treats) around new people. He enjoys going out and socializing around town and great off leash walking the hills. Ned has quickly progressed and knows sit and down and working on learning life as a house dog! Ned is comfortable in the car, fully house broken with a doggie door and fully crate trained. He enjoys playing and hanging with other dogs and a total wiggle butt mellow fellow. He would prefer a gentle soft spoken single person home (with or without another dog). He is not a barker but very reactive to quick moving people or objects and he is not recommended for a busy or fast moving family. A prospective adopter will need to be a very patient owner while he gets comfortable about life in the house as he still is skittish when people are moving about in the house. He is very lovable and sweet and will make a great companion dog, and helping him learn to be a social fun loving dog will be well worth it.
