Joan and her two friends Betty and Kathryn were dumped at a kill shelter in California. Small and scared at 9 weeks, they were driven over the Sierra Nevada's in winter and brought to Safe Haven. Unfortunately for them a few days after arriving they came down with Parvo. Thanks to quick and rapid care and after 6 weeks of quarantine they have made a full recovery and with some more socialization will soon be ready for a forever home. We do not know if they were all from the same litter. DNA tests say no, but DNA dog results are not yet 100% perfect. In fact they suggest the main mixes on two of them are Boxer/Boston and they don't really look like either. DNA results will be made available to adopters.
